Dr. Ahmad awarded Sarafan ChEM-H Grant

Dr. Usman Ahmad was awarded a $50K intramural grant from Sarafan ChEM-H for his proposal: “Assessing Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma Intratumoral Microbiome to Develop a Biomarker Predictive of Long-term Outcomes and Response to Chemotherapy.”

Dr. Ahmad is a general surgery resident at the University of Colorado currently doing his research years as a postdoctoral research fellow in Stanford's Section of Surgical Oncology. He will be mentored by SurgOnc Chief Dr. George Poultsides along with Dr. Niaz Banaei from the Department of Pathology.
